The hills are alive with nature's wonders - spectacular gorges formed over the last 2,000,000 years in the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor. MacIntire's Cottage is located within these hills, in the Town of Ithaca New York. We are just miles from Cornell University and Ithaca College, close to the downtown location of the famous Moosewood Restaurant, and minutes away from Finger Lakes award winning wineries. A park, adjacent to the property, includes a playground, ball field, picnic areas, bluebird trails and a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
When visiting family, friends, or just chilling out what could be more fun than pampering yourself with a stay at MacIntire's Cottage Bed & Breakfast? Its lovingly landscaped gardens, filled with flowers and herbs to attract humming birds and butterflies, are aesthetically pleasing to the beholder. The owner has mixed her collections and family heirlooms with contemporary furnishings. This creates a comfortable English Country setting that makes you want to nestle in with a good book and a "cuppa" tea. Bring a bathing suit and relax in the two person spa tub situated in the solarium. Children especially love to take a bubble bath after a day's outing with their parents.
A hearty, healthy breakfast could include Eggbeaters Benedict with popovers, mango-blueberry smoothies, corn bread and a side dish of zucchini-carrot pancakes. Guests may relax and enjoy breakfast on the deck or in the solarium if the weather is cool.
Choose from one of three imaginatively decorated bedrooms, from the sophisticated to the whimsical. Rooms include a tropical escape, a 1960s theme or a more sleek hotel feel for your nights' stay. All in all Judith has worked hard to ensure that you have an enjoyable, carefree experience in her home.
